Twinkle House would like to send out a BIG THANK YOU to the BANDS and everyone who contributed to and attended the Charity Rocks event on Saturday 8th September in Skelmersdale .  The annual event was put on by owners of the Polaris pub in Skelmersdale, Ian and Sue Granite and co-ordinated by local community members Al Brophy and DJ Kelsey who all give their time for free to help the Charity.  Kingsley Judd, Young Ambassador for Twinkle House opened the event giving a wonderful performance singing six songs.    A huge thank you to the Twinkle House team, family members and friends who also volunteered their time to help on the day.  The event raised a massive £700 through raffles, tombola, bouncy castle and donation from the Polaris and Burger van and Text donations.  Local photographer Puppet Studios were on site taking photographs throughout the day and donated 50% of photograph sales to Twinkle House.  Pictures from the event can be viewed and bought online by visiting and clicking the Gallery option.

Twinkle House launched its BIG BUILD Appeal at the event. The Appeal has been set up to help the Charity raise £1million by March 2014 to create a specialist support centre for children and young people with Disabilities and Additional Needs and their families in West Lancashire.  Twinkle House desperately needs the help of the local community to help them expand in order that they can meet the growing demand for their support.  The service has been constantly fully booked since it began in 2004 and has a long waiting list of local families and schools requiring their specialist support.

You can help Twinkle House by texting a donation to the Appeal through Vodaphone’s Just Text Giving, Here’s How:  Text message THBB14 and the amount you wish to donate £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10, send your text to 70070
