Twinkle House Volunteer Chris Owens Carried Olympic Torch

Well done to Twinkle House Volunteer Christopher Owens who was chosen to carry the Olympic torch for his volunteer services to the Charity. Chris was nominated by his Assistant Manager Cathy Maguire of Wilkinson store where Chris works.

Chris carried the torch in Blackpool On Friday 22nd June 2012, one of the wettest days of the year! he carried the torch for his services to Twinkle House and the torch was sponsored by Coca-Cola.

Chris, of Ashurst, Skelmersdale previously volunteered his time and skills on his day off to help support local children and young people with disabilities and additional needs in sessions at Twinkle House. He now volunteers for a local school supporting children with challenging behaviour.

He put a great deal of effort into his volunteer work at Twinkle House and cares very much about improving life for local children.
