Twinkle House Student Placements

Twinkle House works in partnership with Edge Hill University to provide student placement opportunities for students undertaking Nursing or Social Work Degree.

Placements at Twinkle House will enable students to gain valuable skills, information and experience of working directly with children with Learning Disabilities, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties that will enhance their academic study, skills, experience and employment prospects in the future.

All volunteers working directly with children and young people are required to have DBS check, and will be required to provide two referees from people unrelated who have known you for at least two years.  Volunteer Receptionists and general support (not working directly with children) will not require as DBS check, however will need to have two satisfactory references.  If you have a DBS check through your University or college course for placements then we will require a letter confirming this from them.
