Family Time is part of our Big Lottery Positive Intervention and Prevention (PIP) Project, developed to allow families of children with Disabilities and their siblings to enjoy support and low cost activities at a time suitable to them, to help their children learn skills to relax themselves, mix with others and make lasting friendships.
Crucial to the development and support of our children and young people is the time they spend with their family. Sharing experiences together as a family creates empathy and understanding, and ensures positive emotional enrichment. Not only does this benefit our children and young people but their carers and siblings too. Here at Twinkle House, we provide the following activities for families:
- Yoga and mindfulness sessions for children and young people with Disabilities, Additional Needs, and their siblings
- Family Sensory Time – Sensory sessions for the whole family
- Family Hydrotherapy for children or young people with Disabilities or Additional Needs, and their carers
