Fundraise for Twinkle House

Twinkle House is dependent of grants, donations and fundraising to be able to provide our valuable services to the community. All funds raised go directly to supporting sessions for children and young people that use our service or for specialist equipment and resources to support our work, unless otherwise specified.  Donations are never used towards staff costs.

Corporate Support – Showing Your Social Responsibility ūüôā¬†
We are very keen to get local West Lancashire businesses supporting Twinkle House as their local Charity. Our local BT Skelmersdale have done just that!

Local Company FACE FOR BUSINESS have chosen to support Twinkle House as their Charity of the year.  FFB have set up a Local Giving fundraising page, with a target of £5000 that they wish to reach by the end of 2016.  This target will contribute towards the centre’s annual running costs which helps keep the centre open and providing its free 1:1 support service for children with Disabilities.

As well as fundraising and donating, the business has pledged its support further by offering to answer all the Charity’s calls for free, to help ensure no donations are missed!  Owner, Andy McGreggor was keen to offer his support, and couldn’t think of a more suitable way.

‚ÄúEvery business misses calls, and we want to ensure that Twinkle House provides a great first response and never misses any calls with donations.¬† We will answer the calls they can‚Äôt get to for free, helping to ensure they don‚Äôt miss any, which will also ease the pressure off the centre staff.‚ÄĚ

You can make a donation to help Face for Business reach its target here.

Great Bear staff member Andy Sumner arranged for himself and colleagues from work to run the Ormskirk 10k in aid of Twinkle House. ¬†Jill Boardman, Twinkle House CEO told Andy, this is a wonderful way to support a local Charity and we are incredibly pleased that you chose to support Twinkle House. ¬†We are trying to raise at least ¬£50,000 to help cover our overheads during the next year to enable us to continue providing our much needed support to children and young people with Disabilities and Additional Needs. ¬†We really value your support and kindness, thank you all so much ūüôā

We are very pleased that BT are now supporting Twinkle House with their staff team donating time to help on site and raising much needed funds for our service.

BT’s Mike Kelly ¬†contacted us to see if they could do anyhting to help as we are the only Charity close to their site. ¬†Twinkle House has a lengthy ¬†list of jobs that we needed help with including joinery, decorating and tiling. ¬†We were blown away when Mike returned to say that BT teams were going to help. ¬†They have been absolutely amazing and have been to site, painted the entrance yard in order that it looks clean and welcoming for our visitors, painted the corridor and cafe area too. ¬†BT called on other local businesses to help with donations of paint, brishes and other items, T W GARNERS in Sandy Lane, Skelmersdale gave a huge amount of items to the group and we cant thank them enough.

They have kindly done some repair work on the tiles in the pool room and wall hung various items for us too. ¬†Not only did they provide this fantastic amount of labour on site, they have been fundraising at both sites and raised a massive ¬£1,700 for the Charity much of which will be used to release a grant of ¬£10,000 to turn our hydrotherapy pool into a SENSORY hydrotherapy pool. ¬†We also received a new fridge as our fridge was old …. and the support does not stop there… BT have pledged to continue raising funds for Twinkle House and we look forward to continuing and developing ¬†our friendship with BT. ¬†TWINKLE HOUSE SENDS YOU ALL A MASSIVE THANKS, Well done all of you ūüôā
