Health and Wellbeing Worker
As part of a recent award from the Big Lottery Twinkle House is now in a position to be recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join our team. We are an established and vibrant centre for sensory and wellbeing and we want to recruit a Health and Wellbeing worker to support our families, develop a programme of workshops, sessions available to our families, user groups, children and parents. As part of our inclusive approach we want to utilise our incredible facilities to offer a wider range of wellbeing opportunities both on a 1-1 basis, with groups and promoting peer support around common interests and concerns.
Job Title: Health and Wellbeing Worker
Reporting to: Twinkle House Manager
Hours: 21 hours per week (flexible where needed and could include Saturdays)
Salary: £22,401.00 (Pt.24 NJC) pro rata
Fixed term contract: Until July 2021 initially dependent on further funding
Trustee/Director (Volunteer role)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to support Twinkle House! A vibrant, Award Winning Charity is seeking new Trustees to support the current Trustee Board of 4.
We are seeking people with various skills and expertise to assist the Chair and Chief Executive in developing its services in line with its Governing documents and increasing its income generation through a variety of means to ensure the Charity and its work is a sustainable long term.
We are seeking volunteers to assist in our Cafe/Snack bar. The role will involve serving hot and cold drinks, preparing light snack such as sandwiches, toasties, beans on toast, soup, handling cash and dealing with customers using the centre.
In this role you will be able to meet new people, build your skills and confidence and be part of a friendly and welcoming team.
Volunteering and Student Placements
Volunteers are an integral part of our service and are valued no matter how much or how little time they give to Twinkle House. Volunteers are vital to the life force of our organisation, and without them, Twinkle House could not maintain the level of support we provide to our beneficiaries. Student Placement Opportunities (working alongside our Practitioners)
Twinkle House works in partnership with Edge Hill University providing placement opportunities for University students undertaking the BSc (Hons) Degree in Learning Disability Nursing and Social Work. Placements at Twinkle House enable students to gain valuable skills, information, and experience of working directly with children with Disabilities and Learning Disabilities that will enhance their academic study and employment prospects in the future.
